Take 5th Street to 246 N. Cedar Street. Use this for GPS directions.
Gate opens at 6:30 pm and closes at 10:30
**Elmwood Cemetery's front gate at 700 W 6th Street will be closed due to road closure.
What to expect
Voices From The Past AFTER DARK is a lantern guided tour. It is a living history event unlike any other Halloween experience you've ever been to. AFTER DARK will not have monsters, zombies, or anyone named Freddy who lives on Elm Street.
Our Lantern Guided Tour is not designed to be a family-friendly event. The adult subject is not recommended for children. Buried secrets and tragedies of the dead will be revealed.
The Charlotte Area Paranormal Society's professional team will be taking you ghost-hunting using various digital audio equipment, spectrum photography, and thermal imagine equipment. Per their guidlines, adults 18+ is their requirement as well.
Please be aware that some gravesites we visit require walking on uneven grounds.

What time should I come?
Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled tour time. If you arrive late, we will do our best to add you to a later tour. This is not guaranteed.
How does the VIP Midnight Combo work?
Cemeteries are spooky anytime, but we all know "midnight" takes it to a whole different level. The VIP Midnight Combo, 9:00 pm - 12:30 am, begins with the Lantern Guided Tour which includs 2 addional stories, and follows with the Paranormal Experience. Buy your tickets soon. Rain or Shine?
Yes. The City of Charlotte has the last word due to weather and safety concerns that may require the closure of the cemetery. Sorry, no refunds, however we sincerely appreciate your donation.
Is this a family event?
The short answer is NO. Due to the adult subject matter of our storytellers, such as, murder, adultrey and suicide, we recommend that children not attend.
The Paranomal Experience is strictly set at 18+ by the Charlotte Area Paranormal Society's guidelines.
Dogs are not allowed
We love dogs and welcome them to our Annual Voices From The Past spring event, however since AFTER DARK is a guided tour we felt that there could be safety issues due to the close quarters.

Gee I don't know WHY you might be nervous in a dark, spooky, haunted, and spirited cemetery. Did I say very dark?
We want you to feel safe knowing we take your wellbeing seriously. There will be security in the cemetry till the last visitor goes home.
